NOTE: The following information is for faculty notified of acceptance for the SCAR 2004 Annual Meeting.

All faculty must register for the meeting: Meeting Registration

Faculty Onsite Instructions for ALL Speakers
Upon arrival at the meeting. presenters are to proceed to the Speaker Ready Room (Meeting Room 20, Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre) to view presentations. Speakers are requested to bring a final presentation on disk or CD-ROM to the Speaker Ready Room 24 hours prior to presentations labeled with your name, title of presentation, and the name, date & time of session. If you are unable to provide your final presentation onsite 24 hours before your presentation, please mail a CD or disk to the SCAR office to be received no later than May 14, 2004.

Thursday, May 20 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Friday, May 21 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Sunday, May 23 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Presenters need to plan on using a PC PowerPoint (or similar) presentation. There will not be a Mac option, or an option for conventional slides at SCAR 2004. 
Meeting Rooms will be set with: Standard setup of podium, with podium light and microphone, laser pointer, laptop computer with MS office standard, LCD projector and screen.

Scientific Presenters
FULL PAPER SUBMISSION TO  JDI
Each author is requested to submit a full paper of their SCAR 2004 scientific presentation via the Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI) Manuscript Central prior to the SCAR 2004 meeting or at the SCAR/JDI booth onsite at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Authors that submit full papers to the Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI) before or at the annual meeting will be given a "JDI Contributor" ribbon and a special gift at the meeting.

Papers will be peer-reviewed for publication in JDI and if accepted for publication will be listed in Index Medicus. The Journal of Digital Imaging reserves the right of first refusal.

If you plan to submit your paper prior to or after the SCAR meeting, please submit online per the JDI Manuscript Central.

Posters and Demos
The posters and demonstrations are an integral part of the SCAR 2004 Annual Meeting program.

POSTER & DEMONSTRATION LOCATION:
Posters and demonstrations will be set up for SCAR 2004 in Exhibit Hall B & C at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Please check in at the SCAR Registration Counter located in the convention center lobby to receive your poster or demonstration location.

INSTALLATION & DISMANTLING:
Each presenter is responsible for the installation and dismantling of their display.

Set-Up Times:
Wednesday, May 19 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, May 20 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Posters and Demos must be completely set up by 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 20.

Open Hours:
Thursday, May 20 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Friday, May 21 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday, May 22 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday, May 23 Posters and Demos not open for review

Dismantling:
Saturday, May 22 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Sunday, May 23 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Posters and Demos must be removed from the Exhibit Hall no later than 10:00 am on Sunday, May 23.

DEMOS:
Demonstrations will include a 3' x 6' table and electrical connection. Back-illumination (viewboxes) will not be available. Demo area will have a 4' (vertical) x 8' (horizontal) tackboard to display materials.

POSTER & DEMO SESSION:
The Poster and Demonstration Session is scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm, and will be held in the Exhibit Hall B & C. Each presenter is asked to be available to discuss his or her presentation during this time.

AWARDS:
Awards and Cash prizes will be presented for the best scientific exhibits. To be eligible for an award, authors must turn in a full paper for peer-review to the Journal of Digital Imaging before or at the SCAR 2003 meeting.

SECURITY:
Neither the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre nor SCAR will be responsible for loss or damage to any display or equipment for any cause.
