You can't go to Paris without stopping by the Eiffel Tower, and you
can't visit Seattle without checking out the view from the world-famous
Space Needle. Here’s your chance, by joining in the fun at the SIIM
Welcome Reception at the Space Needle. A 41-second elevator ride takes
you up 520 feet to the observation deck of the Space Needle, built for
the 1962 World's Fair. Enjoy beautiful vistas of the Seattle skyline and
harbor and a panoramic 360° view. All meeting attendees are invited for
what is always a very enjoyable evening of food, drink, collegial
relaxation and networking – a great way to meet other attendees.
For transportation directly to the Space Needle, use the Monorail
that travels from the downtown area. The Monorail station is
located at the Westlake Center Mall at Fifth and Pine Street.
Limited shuttle service will also be available between the Convention
Center and the Space Needle beginning at 5:00 pm. Shuttle buses
will pick up and drop off at Convention Place, located at the south end
of the first floor, under the galleria escalators.
Be sure to bring/wear your registration badge and drink tickets to
the event (both are located in your registration envelope).
See you there! |
