USB Microscopes Explained
Science has once again proved itself to be cool with the birth of the USB microscopes.
They are very easy to install and are a lot easier to use. Simply plug them in the nifty viewing software brings the image up to your computer screen, you will not even have to strain your neck looking into a dusty eyepiece.
A basic USB microscope has a fully adjustable stand, a 1.3 megapixel lens and has a magnification of up to x200. A more advanced version of a USB microscope also has a stand but its lens has been conveniently upgraded to a 2.0 megapixel resolution with magnification of up to x200.
There is no need to describe how amazing it would be to look at things that close, but you will sure have an excellent time finding out yourself.
Soon, you will be looking at everything within reach through USB microscopes (some geeks recommend that you start with a five pound note – what you will see is spectacular!) and you can take digital stills or movies using a standard software that is provided when you buy a USB microscope.
What is better is that, included in the software are measurements of items that are found on your screen – all you have to do is provide a scale (the easiest way to do this is so pop up a ruler under the lens) and the software will tell you how big or small the item is.
