live.pirillo.com – thinkgeek sent me the new 1.3 Megapixel USB microscope to review. I was really excited, because the old USB microscope that I had is now broken. I can’t stop playing with this thing, and keep looking for more items to view with it. If you’re into microscopes, you definitely want to check this one out.

Mac drivers??? what the fuck is he talking about. Mac doesn’t ask for drivers, it’s truly plug and play. Never the less, it looks like a great usb microscope. at least this one has a decent magnification.
Of course it needs drivers! How else will you see what you magnify?!?
How much does it cost? This thing is super cool!

I very much dout it will work with photo booth. Much better to use the customised software. And some features will not work without drivers.
i’m a bit confused now, with drivers do you mean an application? But i think it might work with photo booth, because the microscope is nothing more than a magnifying web cam.
Drivers are software makes the hardware work. Some drivers are invisible and run in the background. Some, like webcam drivers, are applications that you can see and let you see the image the webcam is taking, or whatever the hardware’s purpose is.
Extremely unimpressive review. For future reference, when buying technology it is infinitely more impressive to see a licensed professional putting the device through the practical applications of the device. Even a novice hobby practicioner would not be impressed by anything less.
